Haier, a premium Home Appliances and Consumer Electronic brand, saw a 177.89% increase in basket completion after they introduced a Gift With Purchase strategy powered by Tyviso.

The Gift With Purchase model works by connecting e-commerce brands with partner offers, allowing retailers to present customers with relevant, curated gifts at the point of checkout. Rather than relying on discounts, the approach adds complementary products from partner brands to the basket, increasing perceived value for the customer without reducing margins for the retailer.

Objectives

Haier aimed to increase direct-to-site sales and reduce dependence on third-party retailers by offering customers free partner brand gifts at the checkout.

Specifically, the brand focused on three key objectives:

Approach

The solution was integrated directly into Haier's Shopify store with no development work required, and a widget designed to match the look and feel of their existing website. Just one month after launching, the impact was clear. Customers who engaged with the Gift With Purchase offer at checkout demonstrated significantly stronger purchasing behaviour, with those who checked out with the offers showing:
